Chris Ochoa  -  -  (714) 422-1236 ext 106 *Hockey Director*

Chris is a Southern California native with 20+ years of hockey experience. He grew up playing AAA youth hockey in Southern California and became a stand out offensive player receiving the honor of being named MAC Tournament MVP. After playing AAA hockey, Chris decided to play Junior hockey in the NAHL to pursue his dreams of becoming a scholarship Division 1 Athlete. His dreams became a reality after leading his Junior hockey team to their goals and was recruited by the University of Connecticut (UConn) where he eventually was the leading goal scorer after his Junior season. Chris holds a degree in Communications from the University of Connecticut (UConn) where he spent four years as a student-athlete and truly believes that the word "student" should always come before "athlete". He takes pride in starting his hockey career in the local Southern California hockey market, and understands the discipline, hard work, and commitment it takes to reach the next level. Not only does Chris believe in individual player development and growth, but also puts a strong emphasis on character, team chemistry, discipline, and most importantly cultivating an atmosphere of fun and love for hockey! He brings a wealth of experience both on and off the ice and is excited to help lead the Ice Dogs program!


Alex Semenov  -

Alex Semenov, son of former Russian National Team and NHL star Anatoli Semenov, has a wealth of hockey experience at the youth, junior, and professional level.  Alex began playing travel hockey in Southern California. In his final year of youth hockey he played Midget AAA with the Dallas Stars.  Alex went on to play Junior Hockey in the NAHL & USHL.  While playing Alex was offered a scholarship to play for Merrimack College in the NCAA and at the same time the chance to play in the Russian Elite League.  He decided to pursue a professional hockey carrer and played 4.5 years for the Yaroslavl Locomotiv and other teams of the Russian Super League now known as the KHL.  Alex now coaches youth hockey, and enjoys working with youth players in their various stages of development. 


Dakota Eveland -

Dakota played youth hockey, AAA, Junior USHL with the Omaha Lancers, and Division 1 College Hockey for Colorado College on a hockey scholarship.  He graduated from Colorado College in 2014. He was an assistant Coach for Colorado College from 2012 to 2014. Dakota has coached youth hockey at all levels. He is a certified Level 3 USA Hockey Coach. Dakota has consulted on player’s performance during games and practices through team video consulting sessions. Dakota is looking to bring his video analysis knowledge, collegiate background and extensive hockey knowledge to help his teams develop and excel.

Stefan Demopoulous -

Stefan Demopoulos has 20+ consecutive years of hockey experience. He played D1 college hockey at Providence College where he won a National Championship in 2015. Prior to that he played two years in the USHL for the Omaha Lancers and AAA Hockey for Mid Fairfield Blues in Southern Connecticut.  Additionally he played one year at Shattuck St Mary’s and three years at Avon Old Farms where he won a New England Championship. However, his competitive career began in Southern California!  Stefan looks forward to being a part of the Ice Dogs Hockey Club in the coming season as well as being back in the SoCal hockey environment.


Joe Marciano -

Joe Marciano brings 20+ years of competitive hockey experience to the Ice Dogs coaching staff. He began his amateur career in Southern California playing for various youth hockey programs until he decided to take his youth hockey career to Minnesota where he played Prep School Hockey at Shattuck St. Mary's.  While playing for Shattuck, Joe was recruited to play for the United States Development Program. He played for the Omaha Lancers in the USHL and Division-1 for Colorado College.  Joe began his pro career in the ECHL for the Bakersfield Condors for two years and then played for the Norfolk Admirals. Though Joe is a defenseman, he strives to be and teach players to be great two-way assets.  His knowledge, expertise, and experience has helped him in coaching the younger generations and he is dedicated to growing the game of hockey and developing the younger generation of hockey players in Southern California.  


Troy Redmann*Goalie Coach*

Troy Redmann grew up playing youth hockey here in Southern California at the AAA level before moving on to play Junior A in the NAHL and USHL. In 2005-2006 he won a National Championship playing for the Texas Tornado of the NAHL before finishing up his Junior career playing for the Ohio Blue Jackets of the USHL. After Juniors Troy moved on to a professional career playing in the ECHL for the Ontario Reign, Colorado Eagles and most recently the Alaska Aces. On top of playing years at the AAA and professional level, he is also a member of the United States National Inline Hockey Team competing at the IIHF World Championships. He has won gold medals with Team USA in 2010 in Karlstad, Sweden and 2014 in Toulouse, France. During the off season Troy trains goalies, and will be bringing his experience, knowledge and expertise to the Ice Dogs program. Goalie training will consist of instruction on the most progressive save techniques with a focus on building solid fundamentals through repetition and positive reinforcement.
